World Of Warcraft 3.3.5 Client

When all three patches have been downloaded and installed, verify your installed version. You can do this by browsing to your installation folder (usually C:Program FilesWorld of Warcraft) and running wow.exe.

When the game has opened to the login screen, you will find the version number and build number in the bottom left corner, as depicted in the following image:

The line on which the numbers are shown should be Version 3.3.5 (12340) (Release); or similar, with the same numbers.

STEP 4: Replace Shortcut

Locate the World of Warcraft shortcut on your desktop or quickbar and delete it. Then, create a shortcut for wow.exe, which you can locate in your installation folder. Here are two common ways to create a shortcut for the desktop in Windows:

  • Right-click on wow.exe, cursor over ‘Send To >’, and select ‘Desktop (create shortcut)’
  • Right-click on wow.exe, select ‘Copy’. Return to your desktop, then right-click on your desktop, and select ‘Paste’.

Helpful Tip

Rename the shortcut to ‘Neverendless’ or ‘World of Warcraft’, as you wish.

STEP 5: Change the Realmlist File

From your installation folder, locate and open a folder named ‘Data’, and in that, open the folder ‘enUS’ or ‘enGB’ (or another related folder that has a region or language type; this should be the only folder there). Then, open the realmlist.wtf file.

3.3

Open the file with Notepad or another text editor and delete all the content of the file; then, add the following line exactly as shown:

set realmlist realm.neverendless-wow.com

After you have copied the line into the file, save the file in the same location with the same name (overwriting/replacing the file while saving is fine).

Helpful Tip

If you encounter a ‘File Not Found’, ‘File is Read-Only’, or ‘You do not have rights to modify this file’ error, right-click on the file and select ‘Properties’. Then, un-check ‘Read Only’ and press OK. You should then be able to save the realmlist.wtf file successfully.
